Аннотация: The book gives modem aspects of functional methods in diagnosis of respiratory diseases. Spirometry and Peak Expiratory Flow metry as basic methods in functional assessment of respiratory abnormalities are discussed in details: indications, contraindications, main parameters, patient preparation, rules of the results interpretation. Criterions of differential diagnosis of obstructive and restrictive ventilatory defects are given in the book. Modem recommendations in pulmonology were used. This textbook is aimed to help the overseas medical students to understand difficult material and to gain practical skills in interpretation of spirometry data.
